oh! and your really good friend Shaun is also famous at the same time. McSweeney’s sent me a free copy of this book called Arkansas if I would agree to write a short review. They didn’t give me a lot of time, so I had to tear through the book and pound out a one-paragraph review in just under 48 hours. I’m not that thrilled with the final product, but it got quoted on the mcsweeney’s home page.
Shaun! That’s awesome! I think it’s really good - it took me a little while to find it, but you definitely made me want to read the book. What’s with people I really care about getting their names all over very cool things?!
Actually, I’m going to want to borrow that book this summer…
yeah, the day I posted that comment, they had a direct link to my review on the main page, but now they’ve switched it to a different portion of the Arkansas feature (the day before me it was the other Fayetteville guy).
funnily enough, I’ve always kinda wanted to get my name on the front page of McSweeney’s. I win.
